Posterous' strength is in its ability to interpret the emails you send, and reformat the content to look good on the web.For example, if you send an email with a bunch of email attachments, Posterous will automatically create a nice photo gallery. Posterous blogs can easily act as an extension to an existing site. Here's a pretty good example. Posterous also has a strong Group functionality - so it can act as a collaborative platform, enabling a group to post and share content while maintaining privacy.
